We have joined forces to offer an integrated 3D basin modeling approach to subsalt velocity estimation.
We apply 3D fluid flow and compaction to predict pore pressure, effective stress and seismic velocity for depth imaging purposes, resulting in much improved delineation of subsalt stratigraphy and pore pressure. The workflow is robust and fast, and has been successfully applied on many GOM prospects yielding enhanced seismic images of the salt and sub-salt.
