Fraca 4.1 brings with it deterministic fractures for modeling stimulation fractures or faults, which can be turned on and off for dynamic modeling and permeability calculations. In addition, permeabilities may be calculated for combined matrix and fractures for single-media simulation, and permeabilities may now be exported as a full tensor as well as Kx, Ky, Kz.

ABOUT FRACA
FRACA is a unique, integrated fracture permeability modeling solution for faulted and fractured reservoirs. FRACA is the only commercially-available package that permits the user to calibrate the fracture model to dynamic field data. FRACA is where structural geology and reservoir engineering meet, designed for use by geologists and engineers together.
FRACA aids the user in synthesizing a large variety of data to characterize fracture networks (borehole imagery, logs, cores, flow meters, seismic attributes). FRACA offers a number of variably-constrained stochastic techniques to generate fracture models at various scales (wellbore, grid block, full field). FRACA calculates the equivalent dynamic characteristics of the fracture reservoir (fracture permeability, matrix block size) for either single or dual media simulation. FRACA has repeatedly proven to be THE solution for fractured reservoir modeling at major oil companies, national oil companies, and through our own consulting activities for customers both large and small. |
GeoStatFrac: The Next Step in Fracture Modeling
GeoStatFrac was developed in conjunction with TOTAL. GeoStatFrac is an all-new module that allows the user to explore the relationship between fracture density in wells and multiple attributes, for generating a single fracture density driver parameter for use in modeling sets. It is specifically designed for non-linear/heteroskedastic relationships, uses a Bayesian-Markhov approach, runs in batch mode, and provides uncertainty data. FRACA benefits from:
- Advanced data analysis for robust fracture characterization (e.g. seismic attributes, core data, rock types, wireline logs, image logs, production logging)
- Statistical tools for fracture network characterization and reservoir zonation based on fracture characteristics
- 3D stochastic multi-scale fracture modeling
- An integrated dual poro/dual perm flow-solver for simulating PLT and well/interference tests on the model, allowing the user to calibrate to dynamic field data
- Fast fracture porosity and permeability calculation and accurate matrix block-size estimation
- Easy integration of geomechanical study results (e.g., results from Badley's FaultED elastic dislocation modeling) to constrain fracture models
- Links with all commercial static reservoir modeling tools and dynamic simulators
- Practical industry-standard I/O formats to ease data loading and export, so that you load a 3D grid of your fine-scale model, your scaled-up model, or build the model from scratch within FRACA.
- PC, LINUX, or SOLARIS platform availability
- Modular packaging
